Gluten-Free Frosted Winter Flakes

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Microwave the tortillas (about 15-30 seconds) until soft and warm.
  3. Fold each tortilla in half once and then fold again, so it represents a pie wedge. Using kitchen scissors, cut various shapes such as triangles, circles, or squares away from the edges. Unfold the tortillas. Feel free to practice with paper first.
  4. Lightly brush the tops of the snowflakes with the oil and place them on a baking sheet without touching.
  5. Bake them until lightly browned and crisp (about 5-6 minutes). Sift confectioners' sugar on the snowflakes while warm. For an extra sparkly effect, you can sprinkle on a bit of edible glitter before baking.
  6. For added fun purchase an additional package of wraps and cut your favorite seasonal shapes with a cookie cutter (bake 5-6 minutes and follow the above directions).
